The BUDDHIST SOCIETY
& CLIMATE WEEK 2012

The Buddhist Society supports the Climate Week initiative and is actively seeking to improve energy efficiency at 58 Eccleston Square.

Current initiatives include:

Installing a highly energy efficient condensing boiler and a new central heating system for the building—replacing the oil filled heaters and gas fires used previously.

Ensuring that doors are closed (where practical) and lights switched off when rooms unoccupied.

Re-cycling all waste paper. Moving towards a paperless office environment—using email rather than post wherever possible.

Use of dimmable lights in main lecture room.

Second hand book service—either offered for sale, or donated to people serving a sentence in HM prisons.

To recycle wherever possible. In particular: re-cycling print cartridges and waste paper.
