The great reforming master of the Rinzai Zen school, Hakuin, emphasised dynamic, powerful meditation practice with the aim of kensho, "realizing one's true nature." Coupled with this he taught practices to foster health, well-being and vitality. He emphasized the necessity of this combination of insight and well-being work by using the image of the two wheels of a cart.

The Rinzai tradition has continued and developed these teachings to the present day. Admirably suited to people living with the stresses and strains of the modern world, and relevant to meditators of all traditions, you will learn in this workshop both the theory and practice of Rinzai Zen health and vitality - related teachings.

Please wear comfortable clothing.
